Waste computers and monitors are often regulated under the Resource
Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) because they can contain heavy
metals.
Disposal Method:
The electrical and computer equipment is dismantled and
separated. Component parts are classified as hazardous material or
recyclable material. The recyclable material is recycled or reused based on usefulness.
Packaging:
Place monitors on a pallets or into Gaylord
boxes. If placing monitors on pallets, Shrink-wrap the monitors to
avoid breakage.
